Hi everyone and welcome to our first AMA with questions submitted from our AWESOME community through our new AMA channel on Telegram at https://t.me/chaingamesama

Our founder and CEO Adam Barlam will be answering questions submitted to the channel. There were lots and lots of GREAT questions submitted, so we will be splitting up these AMAs into several posts to try to address all inquiries.

With that being said, let’s get into it!

From Roman D:

Roman: Can we know when and who is gonna lead marketing? I’m talking about big Youtube channels and influencers/gaming community/etc.

Adam: We have hired a well known person in the crypto community to be our “Chief Influence Officer (CIO). We haven’t made the official announcement yet, but he is hard at work preparing everything for this role. He has already aligned us with another popular streamer we have hired. This streamer who we will be announcing soon, will also be in charge of pulling in a wide variety of known streamers from the low/mid and high level tiers! These streamers will be streaming our games to their audience to help spread the word about Chain Games. In addition this streamer will be splicing together clips and videos of streams from the streamers he brings onboard and publishing them to popular social media outlets to further our reach to the gaming community and help with the virality of our games and products.

Roman: Do you have any new partnerships on the road map for this year? When and who?

Adam: We are constantly looking for new partnerships and already have a number of them in the works that will be announced soon. Both crypto-based partnerships and traditional gaming partnerships. Like any company, unfortunately we can’t prematurely announce anything until the official paperwork and legal process is done, but stay tuned!

Roman: When are you planning to join bigger exchanges?

Adam: I have been in the crypto scene for many years and have been contacted and worked with many exchanges during that time period on various crypto projects. Unfortunately the vast majority of exchanges are wash trading scam exchanges with illegitimate volume. It’s just not worth their onboarding fees to be added to them. There are only about 9 exchanges we feel would be worthwhile to list on, and they are Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Bitfinex, Huobi, OkEx, Crypto.com and KuCoin. Those are the only exchanges we are interested in joining, and we need to grow a little more to be a worthwhile add for them. I would say KuCoin is the only exchange in that list that I feel we could potentially join a little earlier before the others. For now, especially with cheaper gas fees, we feel Uniswap, PancakeSwap, and Transak for our fiat on-ramp will suffice in the interim.

Roman: Can you make revenue from the current setup or do you need to wait for the marketing to kick in?

Adam: We will need to wait for marketing and the new gaming partnerships and titles to launch before I believe we will see significant revenue.

Roman: Do you have any ‘big esport players’ joining the platform (part of marketing)?

Adam: Yes, this is part of the role that our streamer influencer will be partaking in. He has connections with some well known eSports players and teams.

Roman: What is the impact of the situation on the crypto market on CHAIN (developing new games/are there any delays on the roadmap/etc)?

Adam: We are continually developing new games, working with other gaming studios, and working on implementing our open source SDK to allow for any developer or publisher to easily add our code into their games, including support for NFTs.

From Frank:

Frank: What are your thoughts on a lottery/slot machine type of auction house for in game items integrated with the chain token?

Adam: Great idea! It’s not something we have looked into, but it would be something we would need to check into with legal to ensure it wouldn’t conflict with any local laws.

From BlueWhiteOrange:

BWO: Will there be an incentivized ambassadors program?

Adam: Yes, we are setting up an ambassador and streamer program where these individuals can setup their own public/private tournaments to advertise to their followers, and even earn a cut from these tournaments to incentivize them to market it to their followers.

BWO: Does it make sense to start marketing during a bear market?

Adam: Yes, we believe that once our platform is functional to a degree we approve of, that no matter bull or bear market, users will come to game. What’s interesting is that gaming is a counter-cyclical industry. It actually even thrives during times of economic downturn since users will stay home and game instead of going out to spend money. This is what actually happened during the COVID pandemic. Gaming companies reported record revenues as users were forced to stay home, resulting in them spending their disposable income on gaming titles, in-game items/upgrades, etc, instead of going out to restaurants, bars, sporting events, etc.

BWO: How is CHAINO coming along for iOS and Android?

Adam: We have finished the implementation of CHAINO on both iOS and Android on testnet. We plan on releasing a stand alone APK on Android for community testing first, followed by iOS. If everything looks ok and no bugs are found, we will then release it on mainnet, and submit to the respective app stores.

BWO: Can you expand on your NFT strategy? Do you think following the NFT sector will still lead to massive gains or is it just a fad?

Adam: We think gaming and NFTs have massive potential, but no gaming or blockchain company has successfully implemented a successful strategy. We think our strategy of implementing games that have usable/playable NFTs and where gameplay is actually impacted by these NFTs is an amazing new and valid use case that will bring blockchain gaming to the next level, and we are at the forefront of this technology and implementation!

BWO: Is there a strategy in place to market towards Asian gamers?

Adam: We are always looking for ways to increase our user base to a global audience. We actually are also in the process of bringing on a project manager with extensive experience in the mobile Asian gaming market, who can greatly assist us with UI/UX and the look and feel that Asian gamers expect.

BWO: Any chances of an Elon Musk SpaceX Kart?

Adam: You never know, but it would be awesome for Elon to retweet it if we did create one ;)

From Anthony Gman:

Anthony: What’s the team’s thoughts on the Sony betting patent? How will this affect our approach to tier one games?

Adam: We think it’s great that Sony is thinking outside of the box, and this validates our business plan and strategy, cementing the notion that blockchain and crypto-based gaming is here to stay and something the big guys are looking at!

From TheMountain:

TheMountain: Hello, there were talks a few weeks/months back on how we would be active on that COD FB group. Is that still happening? And if so, how? Will we post something? Or will admins from that group post? (That group has 268k members).

Adam: This is still in the works and relies upon our complete integration with Transak for our fiat on-ramp. We are working directly with Transak to finish this integration with them in our platform. Once this is complete we will open up to that Facebook group and starting initiating marketing and tournaments with them. I have spoken directly with the admin of the group numerous times, and he is a big Chain Games and blockchain gaming advocate!

From KcirtaP:

KcirtaP: I would like to know if Chain Games is working with XLM and Stellar and or Chain Coin to replace the current crypto your company has and or using?

Adam: Not at the moment. We are focused on using MATIC Layer 2, ETH Layer 1, and Binance Smart Chain (BSC) at this time.

From Sebastian:

Sebastian: What are the major things that Chain Games has achieved in terms of development in the last few months?

Adam: We have achieved a TON in the last few months. Some highlights include:

  1. Addition of new games to the Battle dashboard such as FIFA, NBA and Madden into our Tier 1 portfolio.
  2. Ability for NFT-enabled games to function on the Chain Games platform, with Super Crypto Kart (SCK) being the first title to support this functionality. SCK testnet followed by mainnet update will be pushed in 3 weeks, with unique NFT karts available for purchase, giveaway and to win in-game! All purchases will be done with CHAIN tokens.
  3. Announcement of expanded partnership with Atari which includes a custom skill-based and blockchain enabled AVICII Beat Legend game.
  4. Open Source SDK in development to allow for any developer, studio, etc to connect into the Chain Games network for skill-based and NFT-based gaming utilizing the CHAIN token.
  5. Solitare Plus added to testnet on Web, iOS and Android, with community release imminent.
  6. Speed Chess currently in development on testnet for Web. Screenshots and testnet version coming soon!
  7. Partnership with WORLD token and NFT marketplace which included 0.8% airdrop of their total supply to stakers.
  8. Partnership with CentralEx exchange which includes a 2.5% airdrop of their total supply to stakers.
  9. New SLICK and modernized Battle dashboard being tested internally, videos and screenshots coming soon!
  10. CHAIN token added to Binance Smart Chain (BSC) as bCHAIN for trading capabilities on PancakeSwap.
  11. Partial staking/unstaking added to staking platform.
  12. MATIC Layer 2 staking ongoing internal development.

And much much more that we can’t talk about QUITE yet ;) We are constantly BUIDLING with our ears to the ground!

Sebastian: Was YouTuber Sheldon Evans paid/contacted to talk about chain games?

Adam: No, we never paid or contacted Sheldon to talk about Chain Games. All coverage from Sheldon, Alex Becker, AltCoin Daily, as well as many others were the result of organic coverage and done on their own merit.

Sebastian: How many developers are there in Chain Games? How are they paid? Do they have any CHAIN staked?

Adam: We currently have 8 internal developers and 4 external developers, as well as 3 community developers contributing to the project. They are currently paid in cryptocurrency. No developers or team members have any tokens staked. We discourage staking amongst any team members.

Sebastian: Why is the company registered in Estonia? What’s the benefit?

Adam: The company is registered in Estonia because the cryptocurrency legal landscape is very clear cut there as opposed to other jurisdictions.

From Mr. Ernie:

Mr. Ernie: Will there still be a tournament in the arena in Vegas ?

Adam: We would love to do this once COVID travel restrictions open back up to allow for a global audience to attend. Hopefully this happens soon and crypto conferences can resume. We think this would be a great addition to the annual World Crypto Conference that was previously held in Las Vegas.

Mr. Ernie: How many games are on testnet at this moment?

Adam: Currently all games that are on mainnet also exist on testnet. Games that are on testnet that are waiting to move to mainnet include:

  1. Solitaire Plus
  2. Speed Chess
  3. CHAINO for iOS/Android
  4. SCK NFT-enabled Version
  5. Bubble Shooter game (untitled)
  6. Match 3 game (untitled)
  7. Pool game (untitled)
  8. Apex Legends
  9. CS:GO

From Liquidozo:

Liquidozo: As the community builds and we begin to get a stronger following will there ever be a fashion in which we can use our staking #’s as a weighted voting system to help direct and give value to stakers outside of sheerly monetary gain. The added functionality of the token could enhance its reign over the project and give more utility with declining staking rewards moving forward indefinitely. Most core holders aren’t so much worried about the tokens value vs the project’s goals and synchronizing the two (support level and insight into small decisions) could be paramount in the project taking the next step regarding community.

Adam: Great question! From the project’s inception, we have envisioned the CHAIN token to have governance functionality, with the ability to direct decision making processes on the future of the platform. This will allow us to even further decentralize the network to the point where you, the users, will be the ones with significant input. The first example of when this will happen is with the release of our SDK and Open Dapp Store where stakers and holders will vote for releases, percentage of staking rewards, and other key metrics.

From GoofyNinja:

GoofyNinja: Wen 1st party fighting game?

Adam: We love fighting games as much as you guys, and are actually in talks right now with an AMAZING fighting game on Steam that we hope we can potentially integrate with.

From Dirty Chips:

DirtyChips: Adam, what game are you most looking forward to releasing?

Adam: We are looking forward to our release of our custom FPS! We think a crypto and blockchain-based FPS will be HUGE! Overlaying on popular Tier 1 games is great and all, but having fully integrated titles is the future in my opinion and will drive this sector of blockchain gaming.

DirtyChips: Has anyone ever beat BicBoi on SCK? Is Adam Barlam BicBoi?

Adam: Haha! BicBoi is definitely very skilled at SCK! I think out of 50+ tries I may have beaten him once! CrapItsKevin has beaten him a few times to my knowledge and definitely gives him a run for his money… err crypto! And no, I am not BicBoi. I wish I was that good at SCK LOL.
